We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our collision repair shop team. This dynamic role combines exceptional customer service skills with a solid understanding of automotive repair processes, ensuring clients feel confident and informed throughout their vehicle’s repair journey. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, assess their needs, and guide them through the collision repair process with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Manage customer communication from initial intake to vehicle pickup, ensuring clarity and satisfaction at every step
- Utilize estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools to prepare accurate repair estimates
- Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, suspension work, shocks & struts, transmissions, and other automotive diagnostics
- Coordinate with technicians and mechanics to schedule repairs and ensure timely completion of services
- Handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining detailed records of all service write-ups and payments
- Maintain thorough knowledge of automotive repair procedures including collision repair, mechanical diagnostics, and routine maintenance tasks
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CSR in a collision shop or automotive dealership environment with a strong understanding of auto service management
- Familiarity with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating systems
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical repairs, and vehicle maintenance procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients
- Experience in auto estimating, sales techniques, and upselling services effectively
- Mechanical knowledge of transmissions, suspension systems, tire service, shocks & struts, brake repair, and oil changes is highly desirable
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to drive company vehicles as needed
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and maintain detailed records of all transactions
