About Jerritt Canyon

The Jerritt Canyon deposit was discovered in 1972, and the first gold production from the property occurred in 1981. The Jerritt Canyon property contains 30,821 hectares of mining claims located in the mining-friendly state of Nevada. First Majestic acquired the Jerritt Canyon Gold Mine from Sprott Mining Inc. on April 30, 2021. In May 2023, operations were suspended to prioritize exploration and technical studies. Jerritt Canyon is now entering a new phase of evaluation and planning, requiring substantial technical support to advance the work necessary for a potential future restart of operations.

The Opportunity

The Site Services Superintendent is responsible for leading and managing site services functions at Jerritt Canyon, including facilities maintenance, infrastructure support, and site-wide services that enable safe and efficient operations. This role provides leadership to site services teams and ensures that facilities, utilities, and supporting infrastructure are maintained to high standards.

Working closely with Operations, Maintenance, and other site departments, the Site Services Superintendent ensures that site services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with operational needs and business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise site services personnel, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established standards.
  • Oversee maintenance and upkeep of site facilities, infrastructure, and supporting systems.
  • Plan, prioritize, and coordinate site services work activities to support operational requirements.
  • Manage third party vendors on site services projects
  • Inspect facilities, systems, and equipment to identify maintenance needs and ensure timely repairs.
  • Manage construction, repair, and maintenance activities, including carpentry, painting, concrete work, and general site infrastructure projects.
  • Develop and manage work plans, including estimating labor, materials, and equipment requirements for projects.
  • Maintain inventory of materials, tools, and equipment required for site services operations.
  • Review and approve procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring alignment with budget and operational needs.
  • Monitor work progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure quality and timely completion of work.
  • Respond to emergency situations and coordinate resources to address immediate safety or operational concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, policies, and regulatory requirements across all site services activities.
  • Support budget development and management, including tracking labor, materials, and equipment costs.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting related to work activities, resource utilization, and project progress.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support site-wide initiatives and operational priorities.
  • Oversee site services functions related to water management systems and tailings infrastructure as applicable.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED with 5 years of relevant experience in facilities, construction, or site services operations, including supervisory or lead experience; or

Bachelor's degree in a technical or related discipline with experience in mining or industrial environments.

  • Demonstrated experience supervising teams and coordinating work in an industrial or mining setting.
  • Experience in facilities maintenance, construction, or site infrastructure management.
  • Knowledge of water management systems and tailings operations is considered an asset.
  • Experience with maintenance planning and work management systems (e.g., SAP).
  • Experience with budgeting, cost tracking, and resource planning.
  • Strong understanding of safety practices and hazard recognition.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a dynamic operational environment.
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems and maintenance or work management tools.
