TITLE:
- NETWORK SYSTEMS MANAGER
SUMMARY: Responsible for providing support in the operation of the district data communications networks by installing, trouble-shooting, and maintaining computer hardware, software, and data communications equipment, and supporting the Chief Technology Officer in the implementation of such equipment.
REPORTS TO: Chief Technology Officer
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Installing, Trouble-shooting and Maintaining equipment for data communications networks including: hardware, software, and data communications
- Assist with the development of network application design, investigation and
- Troubleshooting of system failures and bottlenecks to ensure long term efficiency of
- Providing support to users of data communications networks including technical directions to co- workers on computer and network usage and offer comprehensive advice and
- Responsible for designing the network in ways that optimize its

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrated knowledge of current products and services available and applicable to LAN/WAN and data communications
- Demonstrated knowledge of computing systems, electronics, and software development required to design, manage, and diagnose server/network
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with personnel on all
- Good knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols and network
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Three years of full-time experience in a similar
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in network systems, network security, or a related
- Cisco or Juniper Certification
- CompTIA A , Security , or Network Certification
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently stands, walks and sits. The employee may occasionally push or lift up to 50 lbs., such as boxes and carts. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as ability to read handwritten or typed material, and the ability to adjust focus. The position requires the individual to successfully meet multiple demands and interactions with other staff. The employee must be able to attend meetings in the evening and at other locations. COMPENSATION:
- 260 days per year, 8 hours per days
- Vacation time per district policy for classified personnel

- Employee’s performance in this position will be evaluated by the Chief Technology Officer in conformance with district
- Six month probationary
