Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all restaurant and bar operations, including food preparation, service, and cleanliness standards.
- Manage staff scheduling, training, and development to ensure a motivated and well-trained team.
- Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies, managing stock levels, and reducing waste.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of food handling and hygiene.
- Handle cash management duties such as POS (Point of Sale) system operation—specifically Aloha POS and Micros POS—and cash handling procedures.
- Monitor customer service quality, address guest concerns promptly, and foster a welcoming atmosphere.
- Implement shift management strategies to optimize operational efficiency during busy hours.
- Conduct staff interviews, performance evaluations, and training sessions to promote continuous improvement.
- Maintain budgetary oversight by managing costs related to food production, labor, and supplies.
- Support culinary operations by assisting with food preparation when needed and ensuring consistent food quality.
Skills
- Proven experience in restaurant management or hospitality management roles with supervising responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking processes, and food safety standards.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for transactions and reporting.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to train, motivate, and develop staff effectively.
- Experience in managing inventory control, budgeting, and cost reduction strategies within a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable guest experiences.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining compliance with cash handling procedures.
- Knowledge of kitchen management practices including food handling, food production, catering, banquets, and casual dining settings.
- Strong leadership qualities combined with effective communication skills to oversee shift operations smoothly.
- Familiarity with bar operations including barista or coffee experience is a plus for supporting beverage service excellence.
