*Job Summary*
The Veterinary Helper is responsible for providing basic animal care needs allowing the Veterinary Assistant and Veterinary to work efficiently to complete owner/trainer request and patient treatments. This includes performing basic technical skills under the direct supervision of the Veterinary Assistant. This position requires skills and proficiency in understanding patient restraint(twitching etc), running fluids, prepping treatments,scrubbing for injections and helping XRAY/ultrasound and any other task if need be.
Veterinary Helper will have the skills and training necessary to work independently on tasks.
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent equine skills
- Ability to listen and follow both verbal and written directions
- Must possess good oral and written communication skills, with the ability to read and write in English
Preferred:
- Equestrian work or small animal clinic experience
- Horse experience and knowledge
Additional Information:
- This position is located in Anderson,Indiana
- Position is 20-25 hours a week
