Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team, responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various construction and industrial sites. The ideal candidate will have experience working with both low and high voltage systems, reading schematics and blueprints, and utilizing a variety of hand and power tools. Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, panels, and equipment in commercial and industrial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical installations.
- Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, as well as power tools to perform electrical work efficiently.
- Test electrical systems using instruments like ohmmeters, ammeters, and other diagnostic tools to ensure proper operation.
- Follow all safety protocols related to high voltage and low voltage systems in accordance with NEC standards.
- Assist in construction activities including frame carpentry when necessary for electrical installations.
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety regulations on construction sites.
- Collaborate with project managers and other trades to complete projects on time and within scope.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial settings; construction site experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes (NEC), schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment.
- Experience working with low voltage and high voltage electrical systems.
- Ability to read technical schematics and blueprints accurately.
- Knowledge of construction processes including frame carpentry is a plus.
- Valid certification or license as an electrician is preferred but not mandatory depending on project requirements.
- Ability to work safely at heights or in confined spaces as needed.
