What are the responsibilities and job description for the Concrete Coring Operator position at Jensen Infrastructure?
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
This Concrete Coring Operator plays an important role in our concrete manhole life cycle of the product manhole product line. This position requires the precise coring of concrete material per customers specifications. Based at our manufacturing operation in (Lockeford, CA), the Concrete Coring Operator ensures that our products are cored with a quality concrete products in a safe and timely manner by operating a coring machine that require a variety of dimensions/diameters to create holes in concrete structures.
A highlight of your day-to-day will include:
- Performs a variety of production duties including but not limited to:
- Pulling manhole concrete material from inventory with a forklift, set up manhole bases, or other material on the coring machine.
- Reads production drawings and recognizes whether the product is set up properly
- Sets up the coring machine as indicated in the production drawing with appropriate coring bit and location of the hole to core
- Ensures the coring machine is cleaned daily, perform inspections of the machine prior to use, and reports any potential issues to the maintenance team.
- Assists replacing coring machine parts as needed to ensure optimal performance of the coring machine.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment, returns all tools after use to proper storage location, and performs routine housekeeping (i.e.: cleaning, organizing). Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Identifies unsafe working conditions and notifies supervisor.
- Advises supervisor of any issues after daily coring issues that don't meet specifications are completed.
- Trains other employees to operate the coring machine as needed.
Expected Starting pay is between $22.00 and $25.00 per hour.
Overtime is required per business needs including occasional mandatory Saturday schedule.

Position Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret production drawing
- Understands dimensions and measurements
- Has experience operating machinery with attention to detail
- Has Forklift Experience
- Proficient in utilizing tape measures and basic hand tools including, but not limited to trowels, hammers, wrenches, chisels, power tools, etc.
- Is comfortable working in the outside elements of heat, cold, rain, wind, etc.
