Welder-Fabricator (Experienced)
Pay: $22.00 – $27.00 per hour, based on experience and weld test results
Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm or 7:00am–3:30pm
JENSEN Braun is seeking an experienced Welder-Fabricator for 1st shift. This role is for welders who can work independently from drawings, hold tight tolerances, and handle both MIG and TIG processes without close supervision. All candidates complete a weld test, which determines starting pay within the posted range.
Responsibilities
- Weld ferrous metals using Short-Circuit MIG, Pulsed-Spray MIG, and TIG welding processes
- Set up, fine-tune, and operate welding equipment to meet drawing specifications
- Read measuring equipment and interpret weldment drawings independently
- Perform weld prep, weld removal, and metal finishing (grinding)
- Perform general maintenance on equipment and tools
- Scan in/out of work orders accurately
Qualifications
- 2 years of professional MIG welding experience required; TIG experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret weldment drawings without guidance
- Ability to read tape measure and precision measuring tools
- Ability to work 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday
- Stable work history preferred — we're looking for welders ready to grow with our team long-term
Pay Structure
Starting pay is determined by a hands-on weld test plus verified experience. Candidates with 2 years of experience, TIG certification, and strong weld test scores can start at the top of the range. A 90-day review provides an additional opportunity for advancement.
