SUMMARY:
The role of Assembly Technician I utilizes a moderate level of skill to assemble intricate optical-mechanical and optical-electronic assemblies.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO):
Assembly of moderately complex optical-mechanical and optical-electronic assemblies.
Knowledgeable in reading optical and mechanical drawings and schematics.
Voice improvements and issues affecting the productivity of the team (rework, supplies, equipment, etc)
Where required:
Performs all other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or equivalent, some college preferred
Basic knowledge using Word, Excel, Outlook, and other specialty software used in a lab environment.
Able to Read/Write English
Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
Ability to work with all team members in the department and the company-wide
Attention to detail.

Voice improvements and issues affecting the productivity of the team (rework, supplies, equipment, etc)
Where required:
- Perform work in Class 5 and/or Class 7 environments.
- Maintain cleanliness requirements per assembly procedures and department Work Instructions
- Assemble kitted parts into complete systems, strictly adhering to Assembly Procedures, applicable Work Instructions, and Assembly Drawings.
- Measure the element center thickness of screen materials that meet the specification.
- Measure stacked elements and adjust airspaces to populate EXCEL build sheets.
- Inspect optics for cosmetic imperfections.
- Ability to assess that elements being installed meet drawing specifications for surface quality per mil-spec and ISO standards.
- Experience using various bonding compounds
Performs all other duties as assigned
