We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Commercial Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cleanliness and an eye for detail, ensuring that all spaces are maintained to the highest standards. This role involves working in various commercial settings, providing exceptional cleaning services while delivering outstanding customer service. Work typically commences at 5:00 P.M. and continues into the evening/night, Monday-Friday, with occasional weekend availability.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of commercial properties, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Empty trash and recycling, and reline bins as needed.
- Manage cleaning tasks efficiently, including organizing and decluttering common areas.
- Provide floor care services, including carpet cleaning and maintenance of hard surface floors.
- Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor while interacting with clients and building staff to ensure satisfaction with services provided.
- Adhere to safety protocols and best practices in cleaning procedures, including safe use of equipment and cleaning chemicals.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards observed during cleaning tasks.
- Secure premises appropriately at the end of each shift (locking doors, setting alarms, etc., as applicable).
Qualifications
- Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning preferred but not required.
- Comfortable working independently in unoccupied buildings during evening/night hours.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- A valid driver's license may be required depending on job assignments.
