Maintenance Electrician

JENNMAR of Utah is seeking a Maintenance Electrician who will be responsible for installing and maintaining electrical machines, equipment and power systems adhering to state and local building codes and the National Electrical Code. Employee may perform inside/outside routine maintenance or extensive preventative maintenance for the building, grounds, machines and equipment that includes setup and adjustments for production runs and repair work for machine breakdowns.

Educational/Experience Requirements

• High School/GED Required
• Valid Driver’s License Required
• One-to-Two (1-2) Years Maintenance-Related Experience Required
  
  

Job Qualifications

• PLC trouble shooting
• Dependability to be consistently at work and on time with ability to work 40 flexible schedule as required
• Ability to read and comprehend written instruction; follow verbal directives; follow general and maintenance-specific safety procedures and guidelines
• Functional mathematical ability including knowledge of fractions and decimals to perform basic math calculations and measurement computing using tape measure and/or micrometers
• Functional mechanical knowledge with ability to develop good fabricating and trouble-shooting skills including pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Working knowledge of operational functions for general maintenance equipment including cranes, forklifts, milling machines, lathes, welding and cutting equipment, and hand/power tools
• Basic computer skills
• “Team Member” mentality with a QA/safety oriented mindset when performing maintenance duties or operational instruction
• Self-motivational skills to perform duties without direct supervision with ability to multi-task and perform well under pressure
• Functional communication skills to interact with management, co-workers, and outside vendors
• Close visual acuity, near/far vision, and multiple limb coordination
• Manual dexterity and moderate/heavy (20-80 lbs.) lifting capability while performing essential job duties
• Repetitive standing, walking, and/or bending capability during normal phase duties
  
  

Essential Job Duties

• Conduct a safety evaluation of work area prior to performing maintenance actions.
• Perform at a training-level capacity inside/outside, routine maintenance or preventive maintenance actions for building(s), grounds, machines, and equipment following standard operating and safety procedures. Maintenance actions include setup actions for product runs; troubleshooting, repairing, and installing machinery/equipment; calibrating and repairing pneumatic systems; inspection of belts, fluid levels, filters, bearings, seals, etc.; providing corrective actions as required.
• Perform at a training-level capacity inside/outside, minor/major emergency repairs as required for building(s), grounds, machines, and equipment following standard operating and safety procedures.
• Perform at a training-level capacity computerized control and monitoring of mechanical equipment.
• Perform housekeeping actions adhering to post maintenance/repair procedures.
