Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Refrigeration Operator to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting refrigeration systems across our facility.
Two positions are open -
2nd Shift - 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm - One Position
3rd Shift - 10:00 pm - 6:30 am - One Position
Responsibilities
- In accordance with company policies and procedures, this position is responsible for maintaining the refrigeration systems
- This position will operate and repair industrial refrigeration systems (Freon, Ammonia)
- Maintain pertinent records on the ammonia equipment
- Practice safe handling of ammonia in its liquid and gas state
- Maintain and update Emergency Procedures
Minimum Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in plumbing and electrical and demonstrate good communication skills
- One-year experience in a boiler operation
- Excellent history of safety
- Ability to work effectively under minimal supervision
- PHYSICAL: No restrictions prohibiting bending, twisting and lifting up to 50 pounds or more
- Ability to wear a SCBA (self-contained breathing apparatus)
Preferred Qualifications
- Five years' experience in Industrial Refrigeration Operations
- Freon Certified
- Boiler school certified
- Three years' experience on boiler operation
- Technical School diploma in refrigeration
