What are the responsibilities and job description for the Applegate Operator - Day Shift (Approx 7 am - 3:30 pm) position at Jennie-O Turkey Store?
Job Responsibilities
- Operators will learn all the operating positions on this brand new line
- Help maintain a safe working environment for all employees by following all safety rules
- Help ensure only safe, wholesome, quality products are produced for our customers by following all good manufacturing practices
- Ability to communicate with other operators in the area as needed.
- Perform other position specific duties as assigned by the supervisor
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be able to work in temperatures ranging from 32-40 degrees
- Must be able to perform repetitive motions, such as: twisting, turning, bending and reaching
- Lift up to 40 pounds
- Must wear a hairnet, hard hat, ear muffs, safety glasses, steel toe boots and or other personal protective equipment as required for the position
- Basic mechanical skills based on experience or training
- Basic math skills
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous machine operator experience is a plus
- Previous power material vehicle experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.75 - $22.76 per hour
