Job Summary: As a Painter in Senior Living, you will play a vital role in maintaining a visually appealing and comfortable environment for our senior residents. Your primary responsibility will be to execute painting tasks with precision, attention to detail, and adherence to safety guidelines. By ensuring the interior and exterior areas are well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing, you will contribute to the overall well-being and satisfaction of senior residents.
Job Responsibilities:
- Painting Tasks: Execute painting projects efficiently and effectively, including but not limited to walls, ceilings, doors, trims, and other surfaces as required.
- Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, patching, and priming as necessary, ensuring a smooth and clean finish.
- Color and Material Selection: Assist in selecting appropriate colors and materials, considering the preferences of senior residents, existing decor, and any specific requirements.
- Maintenance and Repair: Identify areas that require maintenance or repair, such as cracks, holes, or water damage, and take appropriate action to ensure a durable and long-lasting paint job.
- Safety Compliance: Follow safety procedures and guidelines, including the proper handling and storage of paints, solvents, and equipment. Ensure work areas are safe and free from hazards during painting projects.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with maintenance staff, supervisors, and other departments to schedule and plan painting projects, ensuring minimal disruption to residents' daily routines.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance on painting tools and equipment to ensure their proper functioning. Report any malfunctions or equipment needs to the appropriate supervisor.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of paint colors, quantities used, and other relevant information to facilitate future touch-ups and maintenance work.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections of completed paint jobs to ensure high-quality standards are met. Make necessary touch-ups or corrections as required.
- Customer Service: Interact with senior residents in a courteous and professional manner, addressing their concerns and providing exceptional service.

- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Previous experience as a professional painter, preferably in a residential or senior living environment.
- Solid knowledge of various painting techniques, materials, and tools.
