Position: Jenks Trojan Swim Club Coach
Reports to: Jenks Swim Club Coordinator and Assistant Coordinator
Supervises: Assistant Coaches and Bridge Instructors
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Demonstrative ability to use oral and written communication effectively.
- Highly organized with ability to prioritize duties and complete work assignments in a timely manner.
- Computer proficiency, Microsoft Office and Team Unify experience preferred.
- Ability to perform general accounting functions.
- Good interpersonal skills with adults and students.
- Current USA Swimming coaching certification, lifeguard certification; or the ability to obtain these certifications within six months.
- Satisfy all district requirements regarding physical health and citizenship.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Program Goal: This position supports the Swim Program's Club Coordinator and Assistant Coordinator through administrative operations, coaching responsibilities, and overall program support within the Aquatic Center to ensure efficient facility operations and program success.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Coaching swim club athletes:
- Working with swimmers at practice as scheduled.
- Onboarding and teaching new swim parents.
- Planning weekly practices.
- Setting group goals.
- Tracking attendance for both home and away meets.
- Assisting in staff development and meetings.
- Assisting in hiring and training process as needed.
Managing administrative duties:
- Meeting with Aquatic Center, lessons, and club leadership.
- Answering potential member inquiries.
- Building a contact database.
- Fielding inquiry emails about lessons and club.
- Assisting with mass tryouts.
- Managing midseason tryouts and transfers.
- Assisting in Team Unify and USA Swimming registration.
Employment Terms: Twelve (12) month classified annual salary contract
