What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilitator of Teaching and Learning position at Jenks Middle School?
SUMMARY: Responsible for working collaboratively with administrative staff in schools, faculty, and other district staff to enhance and encourage the implementation of academic needs based on schools' needs analysis. Working with school staff to support an engaging learning environment, school and district initiatives, and monitoring student outcomes in order to support data driven instruction.
EXEMPLARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works with teachers in the capacity of co-teacher, planning, analyzing student data outcomes, and implementing instructional shifts directly tied to district and school initiatives and needs assessments.
Works with all content area teachers in order to support school wide academic strategies
Collaborates with the fellow Intervention Facilitators across the three middle schools as well as the Office of Teaching and Learning to implement school improvement goals
Collaborates with the Principal and School Improvement Teams to implement school wide goals and monitor progress on said goals
Supports communication with parents and guardians regarding student academic achievement.
Supports the implementation of schoolwide reform strategies and action steps aligned to School Improvement Plan's Academic Goal? Reports out and communicates goals and measured outcomes on data including sub groups of students
Maintains records of academic resources and planning resources provided to teachers and staff
Collaborates with the Guidance Department to ensure all students including sub-groups (e.g. Limited English Proficient students) are monitored for academic proficiency ? Collaborates with faculty to plans that reinforce research based effective classroom management strategies
Assists teachers with effective classroom management strategies (e.g.: this could include modeling implementation for faculty, check in- check out,) ? Serves as a resource to staff in supporting at-risk students academically
Assists in the writing of grants that are related to student resources and performance opportunities
Develops positive recognition programs to reinforce a positive school climate that is student focused and encourages student participation
