JRI is a 3rd generation family-owned commercial roofing company with around 40 full time employees. JRI is searching for a warehouse manager to join our team for full-time employment. The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the warehouse, organizing, and maintaining the equipment and material, repairing small engines, receiving, and unloading deliveries, assisting with sheet metal fabrication, and coordinating with the superintendent on inventory and other duties.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe, clean, and secure working environment in the warehouse and ensure all areas of the warehouse are kept extremely organized.
- Oversee warehouse activities including, but not limited to the safe receipt, storage, and inventory of roofing materials with the operation of a forklift.
- In charge of contacting and managing relations with freight carries both local and intrastate to schedule deliveries.
- Must accurately process detailed paperwork to ensure all materials are received in the deliveries.
- Assist Sheet Metal Technician with sheet metal fabrication.
-Pick up/drop off trucks to auto shops and or material/equipment to jobsites in town.
- Repair small engine machines such as blowers, roof cutters, generators, etc. this is a requirement for employment.)
- Other duties/responsibilities may be assigned to this position at the superintendent’s discretion.
Required Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience with small engine repair.
- Valid Drivers License and ability to back up a trailer.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Must be able to operate Forklift.
- Ability to work independently.
- Problem solver, decisive, and high sense of urgency.
- Must have knowledge of the use of hand tools and power tools.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift up to 70 lbs., carrying, pushing and/or pulling.
- Ability to work in extreme weather environments (both a non-climate-controlled warehouse and outdoors in all-weather environments and conditions)
- Climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, crawl.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Forklift certified.
- Prior experience in construction industry.
- Ability to speak Spanish is a bonus!
- Any knowledge in sheet metal or welding is a plus!
Schedule: Monday – Friday: 8 am – 4 pm
