Landscape Installation Specialist

Jenkins Lawn & Landscape is looking for a skilled Landscape Installation Specialist who takes pride in creating beautiful, functional outdoor spaces. This is not an entry-level position. We're looking for someone who can complete landscape installation projects with confidence while working as part of a team. There is also a clear opportunity to grow into a leadership role as the company continues to expand.

Position Overview

As a Landscape Installation Specialist, you'll help install and renovate residential and commercial landscapes. You'll work alongside experienced team members to build attractive, long-lasting landscapes while maintaining the high standards our customers expect.

ResponsibilitiesLandscape Installation

• Install landscape beds using mulch, decorative rock, edging, and other landscape materials.
• Install shrubs, trees, perennials, ornamental grasses, and seasonal flowers.
• Remove and replace existing plant material.
• Prepare planting beds through grading, soil preparation, and amendment.
• Install small retaining walls and other landscape features.
• Assist with drainage improvements and landscape renovations.
• Read and follow landscape plans and installation instructions.

Landscape Maintenance

• Weed landscape beds.
• Prune shrubs and ornamental plants using proper horticultural practices.
• Refresh mulch and decorative rock.
• Monitor newly installed landscapes for plant health and irrigation needs.
• Maintain clean, attractive landscapes throughout the season.

Equipment & Safety

• Safely operate commercial landscape equipment and power tools.
• Perform routine maintenance and daily inspections on equipment.
• Maintain organized trucks, trailers, and job sites.
• Follow all company safety procedures.

Team Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with crew members and supervisors.
• Represent Jenkins Lawn & Landscape professionally on every job site.
• Help train new employees as experience grows.
• Contribute ideas that improve efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Previous landscape installation or landscape maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience installing mulch, decorative rock, plants, and edging.
• Experience building small retaining walls is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plant identification and proper planting techniques.
• Ability to safely operate commercial landscape equipment.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.

Physical Requirements

• Lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
• Frequently bend, kneel, squat, and shovel.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Walk on uneven terrain throughout the day.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
