Role Overview:
As a Solutions Engineer at Odin Manufacturing, you will be the technical powerhouse behind our sales team. You will partner with Account Executives to navigate complex technical environments, engage with Process and Industrial Engineers, and demonstrate exactly how Odin optimizes assembly lines. Your goal is to translate Odin’s technical capabilities into tangible ROI by identifying bottlenecks, ensuring quality compliance, and streamlining sequence of operations. This role offers a combination of in-office and remote working for more flexibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Discovery: Lead deep-dive sessions with prospective customers to map out their current "as-is" state, including assembly sequences, cycle times, and data silos.
- Solution Design: Architect how Odin integrates into existing manufacturing estates, ensuring we capture the right data at the right time.
- Value Proof (POCs): Lead Pilot programs on factory floors, demonstrating Odin’s ability to track Takt Time, identify constraints, and improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
- Compliance & Quality Mapping: Help customers define their data recording requirements for traceability and evidence-based compliance.
- The "Odin Advocate": Confidently speak the language of the factory floor, from discussing PLC data to high-level productivity metrics with plant managers.
What we looking for?
- Industrial DNA: A deep understanding of industrial engineering fundamentals: Cycle Time vs. Takt Time, sequence of operations, and Theory of Constraints.
- Data Literate: Ability to interpret manufacturing data to find the "bottleneck" and present a data-driven case for improvement.
- Quality Focused: Knowledge of standard quality measures (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing) and what data is required for modern compliance/audit trails.
- Technical Versatility: Familiarity with how assembly lines "talk"—understanding of basic networking, industrial protocols, or how MES/ERP systems interact.
- Communicator: The ability to explain a complex cloud-based or edge-computing solution to a veteran shop-floor manager who values practicality over jargon.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering, or equivalent boots-on-the-ground experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in a Pre-Sales or Sales Engineering role for a technical product.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites (factory floors are where the magic happens).
If you're excited by the connection of technology, problem-solving, and customer success, we want to meet you. Apply today and help us empower businesses with world-class solutions.
