About the Role

Jemby Electric is looking for an Commercial/Industrial Electrical Technician to support service projects across the Bay Area. This role is ideal for someone who prioritizes quality workmanship, communicates professionally, and can manage tasks efficiently in the field. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairs, installations, and project execution. This position requires someone who is dependable, solutions-oriented, and capable of working independently while maintaining strong communication with the office and field team. You will work on a range of commercial and industrial electrical projects including service upgrades, equipment installations, etc. The ideal candidate understands how to work safely, stay organized, and deliver a high level of service while representing the company professionally on-site.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Perform safe and accurate electrical installations
  • Follow all safety protocols and job site procedures
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with team members and clients
  • Track work progress and report updates regularly
  • Assist with job planning and material organization
  • Identify potential issues in the field and recommend practical solutions
  • Maintain organized job sites, tools, vehicles, and company equipment
  • Uphold Jemby’s commitment to high-quality work and client satisfaction

 

What We’re Looking For

  • 3 years of electrical experience in commercial or industrial projects
  • Active ET card is required
  • Journeyman certification is a plus and eligible for increased compensation
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Valid CA drivers license
  • Produce quantity of work equal to the job requirements, Jemby standards, OSHA standards, and National Electrical Code requirements.

 

Compensation – What Earns What

$35 – $42/hr

  • Handles standard service calls and installations with support as needed
  • Understands basic troubleshooting and code requirements
  • Completes work safely and maintains professionalism on-site
  • Developing consistency in efficiency, communication, and documentation
  • May require assistance with complex troubleshooting or project coordination

$43 – $49/hr

  • Independently manages service work and small projects from start to finish
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Communicates clearly with clients, field teams, and office staff
  • Works efficiently while maintaining quality and organization
  • Identifies issues proactively and helps keep projects moving smoothly

$50 - $55/hr

  • Operates as a highly reliable service technician with minimal oversight
  • Handles complex troubleshooting, repairs, and field coordination confidently
  • Consistently delivers high-quality work that passes inspection and meets company standards
  • Supports field efficiency through strong communication and leadership
  • Demonstrates professionalism, accountability, and strong technical expertise
  • Journeyman-certified technicians may qualify for higher compensation based on experience and licensing
