Who We Are:

Our core values are Reliable, Intelligent, Caring, and Honest and our values guide everything we do. We deliver various sizes of complex commercial and industrial electrical projects across the Bay Area (South & East Bay, Peninsula).
About the Role
Jemby Electric is looking for an Electrical Estimator who can independently own the estimating process from initial bid through project handoff. This role is for someone who knows their craft. You’re not learning the basics; you’re applying experience to build accurate, competitive estimates and drive winning work.
From small installs to complex, multi-phase projects, you bring strong electrical knowledge and real-world judgment to every estimate. You will do this by turning project scopes into clear, executable plans.
You are energized by forecasting costs, building winning proposals, and collaborating with both internal teams and clients. You are just as comfortable building detailed estimates as you are coordinating vendors, clarifying scope gaps, and supporting execution through preconstruction.
What You’ll Do
- Independently prepare accurate estimates and competitive bids for commercial and industrial projects
- Review bid packages, drawings, specs, and SOW.
- Perform detailed takeoffs for labor, materials, and equipment
- Identify scope gaps, risks, and missing information early in the process
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and build relationships
- Support project lifecycle elements including procurement, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Maintain clean, organized documentation for estimates and project files
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and internal teams to align scope and design
- Support permitting and preconstruction planning
- Communicate clearly with clients, field teams, and leadership
- Help ensure smooth handoff from estimating to execution with no surprises
What We’re Looking For
- 5 years of electrical estimating experience (commercial/industrial)
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, NEC, and NFPA 70E
- Proven ability to independently build complete estimates from start to finish
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

- Clear communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams
- Valid California driver’s license
