What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loader / Unloader position at JEM Interiors?
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Loader / Unloader to join our warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely loading and unloading trucks, moving products throughout the warehouse, and helping keep shipping and receiving operations organized and efficient.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and delivery vehicles.
- Move boxes, packages, pallets, and other materials to designated areas.
- Sort and organize incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Verify products for visible damage or incorrect quantities.
- Assist with staging orders for shipment or storage.
- Use pallet jacks, carts, dollies, and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized loading and receiving area.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and company policies.
- Work with warehouse team members to complete daily shipping and receiving tasks.
- Perform other general warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, loading, unloading, or material handling experience is helpful but not required.
- Ability to perform physical work throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift and move packages and materials safely.
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting for extended periods.
- Dependable and able to arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong attention to safety and proper material handling.
Work Environment
This position involves working in an active warehouse environment and regularly handling freight, packages, and other materials. The role may require prolonged standing and repetitive lifting and movement throughout the shift.
Pay: $23.90 - $28.80 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
