Executive Housekeeper

Objective:
To maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout Jellystone Park™ Cincinnati, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for all guests. This role is responsible for cleaning guest cabins and all public facilities with efficiency and attention to detail, while serving as a friendly, helpful ambassador of the park's "FAMILY FUN for EVERYONE!" spirit.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Cleaning & Sanitation:

• Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest cabins upon departure, following a detailed checklist to prepare them for incoming guests. This includes dusting, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning all surfaces, sanitizing bathrooms and kitchens, and making beds.
• Clean, sanitize, and restock all public bathhouses, showers, and restrooms multiple times per day.
• Maintain the cleanliness of all common areas, including laundry facilities, pavilions, activity centers, and office spaces.
• Empty all trash and recycling receptacles in public areas and cabins.

Inspection & Maintenance Reporting:

• Complete all assigned cleaning checklists accurately and in a timely manner.
• Conduct visual inspections during cleaning to identify maintenance needs, damage, or lost and found items.
• Promptly report any issues (e.g., leaks, broken fixtures, appliance malfunctions, pest sightings, supply shortages) to the Maintenance Department or Supervisor.

Supply & Inventory Management:

• Restock cabin and bathhouse supplies, such as toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and trash bags.
• Manage cleaning cart and inventory, notifying supervisor when supplies are low.
• Safely handle, use, and store all cleaning chemicals and equipment according to manufacturer and park guidelines.

Guest Service & Safety:

• Interact with guests in a friendly, helpful, and professional manner while performing duties, answering basic questions and directing them as needed.
• Always be a positive, smiling example of the Jellystone Park brand.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and "Caution" signage when cleaning wet floors.
• Maintain a secure environment, respecting guest privacy and reporting any suspicious activity.

Qualifications:

• Education & Experience: No formal education required. Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial services, or custodial work is beneficial but not required. Training will be provided.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to thoroughness. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively to complete all assigned tasks. Good physical stamina.
• Schedule: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. Must have morning/early afternoon availability, as cabin cleaning is time-sensitive after guest check-out.
• Attributes: Must be reliable, honest, and have a positive attitude. A guest-focused mindset is essential.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

• Must be able to perform strenuous physical tasks, including bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand and walk for the entirety of a shift.
• Work involves exposure to cleaning chemicals, wet conditions, and variable weather when moving between buildings. Requires a high level of physical activity in a fast-paced environment.
