Part-Time Property Inspector (Insurance & Mortgage)

Are you looking for a dependable, active part-time role that gets you out of the office and into the field? Jellybean Services LLC, an established local company providing community services since 2006, is hiring a Part-Time Property Inspector to conduct field-based insurance and mortgage inspections throughout the region.

In this role, your daily routes will begin right here in Allegan, Michigan. You will travel to designated residential properties to perform routine, non-invasive visual data collection. This position is ideal for self-motivated individuals who enjoy independent fieldwork, driving, and staying active throughout the day.

Core Responsibilities

• Property Data Collection: Complete onsite mortgage and insurance inspections by walking around the exterior of homes to assess overall condition.
• Field Measuring: Accurately measure house dimensions and exterior footprints using a standard measuring wheel or tape.
• Visual Documentation: Take clear, high-quality photographs of property exteriors, roofing, foundations, and any surrounding outbuildings as required by the client.
• Homeowner Interaction: Confirm scheduled arrivals with homeowners on insurance routes. (Note: For all insurance-based routes, homeowners are fully expecting your arrival to complete the evaluation).
• Report Submission: Securely upload your photos, house measurements, and field notes using a standard mobile inspection app.

Position Details & Work Schedule

• Employment Status: You will be hired as a regular, part-time W-2 employee (not an independent contractor).
• Daily Routing: All routes start each day out of Allegan, Michigan, covering regional territories.
• Physical Pace: This role involves continuous driving and walking outdoors around various properties in local weather conditions.

Job Requirements

• Reliable Transportation & Valid Driver's License: Must possess a dependable, gas-efficient vehicle and a clean driving record to navigate between daily route stops.
• Mobile Device Proficiency: Must own and comfortably operate a smartphone capable of taking clear photos and running inspection applications.
• Basic Spatial Awareness: Comfort reading basic property maps, using GPS routing, and tracking linear measurements.
• Professional Presence: Ability to interact politely and professionally with homeowners during on-site property walkthroughs.

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4.0 – 30.0 per week
