What are the responsibilities and job description for the Toddler Teacher position at Jelly Bean Junction?
Location: Melbourne, FL
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (1-hour lunch break)
We are looking for a high-energy, nurturing, and dependable Toddler Teacher to join our early learning team! This position works specifically with children 18–24 months old and plays a key role in supporting early developmental milestones in a safe, engaging, and loving classroom environment.
Our ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education, patient, creative, and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team that values growth, connection, and fun.
What You’ll Do
✔ Provide a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for toddlers to explore and learn
✔ Support children’s physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development through play-based and structured activities
✔ Carry out daily routines including circle time, learning centers, meals, diapers/potty support, nap time, and outdoor play
✔ Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff
✔ Maintain a classroom that is organized, engaging, and developmentally appropriate
✔ Respond to the needs of toddlers with patience, empathy, and flexibility
✔ Communicate regularly with parents about their child’s day and milestones
✔ Follow all state licensing, health, and safety standards

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Background screening and DCF 45-hour certification will be required upon hire
