Mechanical Assembler

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for assembling mechanical products and subassemblies using a variety of tools and equipment while maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform bench-type assembly processes to complete mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies
• Fabricate products using equipment such as hydraulic presses and riveting machines
• Use hand tools, air tools, and power tools to assemble components
• Read and interpret assembly prints and technical instructions
• Complete tasks according to manufacturing schedules with minimal supervision
• Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet specifications before moving to final stages
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all work
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
• Follow all safety procedures and regulations
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; manufacturing or assembly experience preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Team-oriented with the ability to work well across departments
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office or similar systems)
• Ability to perform basic math calculations (fractions, decimals, measurements)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand or walk on concrete surfaces for extended periods
• Frequent use of hands for handling tools and components
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
• Occasional bending, kneeling, crouching, or climbing
• Vision abilities including close, distance, and depth perception
