Inventory Data Analyst - PowerBI (On-site)

We are seeking a Business Process Analyst to join a major manufacturing company in Milwaukee for a long term contract.Pay: $54/HRDescription:This is ALL DATA Analysis to drive decisions, strong excel and power biDriving cost savings and process improvements, Help on productivity side, diving into analytics specifically around aging inventory. Need to find where the opportunities are.Someone who can present numbers and then take the data, lay it out to help drive decisions.Milwaukee based role, hybrid Monday, Tuesday, Thursday in office.Excel and Power BIWorking on a small team, have to be strong in communicating to other teams.Lead the review of Safety, Sensing & Industrial Components (SIC) business inventory reserves on a monthly and quarterly basisAnalyze data on slow-moving, excess, and obsolete (E&O) inventory and provide recommendations to FinancePartner with Product Management and Operations to understand usage patterns, obsolescence risks, and business decisions impacting reserve levelsTrack aging inventory trends and support initiatives to reduce reserve impactReporting & Insights DevelopmentMaintain and evolve productivity and inventory-related dashboards and trackersAnalyze trends and present clear, concise summaries to support strategic decision-makingProvide data extracts and visualization support for leadership presentations and business reviewsRespond to ad hoc data requests related to cost savings, aging inventory, and spend visibilityCross-Functional CollaborationWork directly with Finance, Product Management, Operations, and Sourcing to validate data and align on shared prioritiesSupport the business units productivity targets by ensuring accurate tracking and reportingBuild strong working relationships to navigate the matrixed organization and drive aligned actionsSkills:Strong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data validation)Experience working with large datasets and translating data into actionable insightsClear and effective written and verbal communication skillsAbility to collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Product Management, and OperationsStrong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracyAbility to manage recurring tasks while responding to ad hoc analysis requestsExperience using ERP systems (SAP or equivalent) for data review or procurement activitiesPreferred SkillsFamiliarity with inventory reserve processes, including excess and obsolete (E&O) analysisExperience with Power BI, Tableau, or other dashboard/reporting toolsUnderstanding of procurement workflows, shopping cart creation, and shipping coordinationKnowledge of cost accounting or manufacturing environmentsBachelors degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related fieldExposure to continuous improvement or Lean methodologies (e.g., Yellow Belt training)Minimum Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field2 years of experience in analytics, finance, supply chain, or reporting rolesStrong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data manipulation)Analytical thinker with the ability to derive insights from large datasetsClear and effective communicator both written and verbalPreferred Qualifications:Experience reviewing inventory reserves or exposure to E&O reserve calculationsFamiliarity with SAP or other ERP systemsWorking knowledge of Power BI, or other dashboarding toolsUnderstanding of cost drivers in manufacturing or distribution environmentsExperience collaborating with Finance and Product Management teamsCompany DescriptionYour local Southeastern Wisconsin Staffing company striving to become the most trusted company to help you find people in the state.
