Compensation: 20-30% of student tuition per session (based on experience and class size)
Experience Level: Experience teaching competitive players, and an understanding of more advanced strategies and complex positions
Are you a passionate chess player with a knack for teaching? We’re looking for a skilled Chess Teacher to coach students of all ages and skill levels, from enthusiastic beginners to competitive tournament players. Join our team and help shape confident, strategic minds through the timeless game of chess.
What You’ll Do:
- Teach chess fundamentals, tactics, and advanced strategies in private and group settings
- Develop customized lesson plans for students at beginner, intermediate, and competitive levels
- Prepare students for local, national, and online tournaments
- Foster a supportive, engaging, and intellectually curious learning environment
- Track progress and communicate with parents or guardians as needed
What We’re Looking For:
- A strong chess background with a high FIDE or USCF rating (preferred)
- Experience teaching competitive players and understanding of advanced strategies and complex positions
- Excellent communication and motivational skills
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for mentoring
- Prior teaching or coaching experience is a plus
