Rural Mail Carrier Associate

Jeffrey's Solutions is a Federal Contractor now employing mail carriers in the Livingston, La area. Our applicants are required to:
- Mail carriers are responsible for sorting and organizing mail in their delivery area before setting out on their routes. This includes preparing packages and letters for delivery, and organizing them by street address or zip code.
- Once the mail has been sorted, mail carriers set out on their delivery routes. They use various modes of transportation, such as walking, driving, or cycling, to deliver mail and packages to homes and businesses. Mail carriers are expected to be reliable and punctual in their deliveries, ensuring that mail is delivered on time and to the correct recipient.
- In addition to delivering mail, mail carriers are also responsible for collecting outgoing mail from homes and businesses. This may include letters and packages that are ready to be mailed, as well as prepaid packages and returns.
- Mail carriers are expected to keep accurate records of their deliveries, including the time and location of each delivery, as well as any issues or discrepancies that arise.
- Mail carriers are often the face of the postal service and may interact with customers on a daily basis. They must be friendly, professional, and able to communicate effectively with customers, answering questions and providing assistance when needed.
We are looking for a responsible and energetic individual to join our team of Mail Carriers. The ideal candidate will have a large customer base to deliver mail to on a daily basis. The successful candidate will have the ability to multi-task and prioritize deliveries. Candidate will be subjected to a criminal background check and a drug screening.
Responsibilities:

• Deliver the mail to letterboxes and post boxes.
• Ride around and in a vehicle, sometimes for long periods of time.
• Answer questions about the mail and services from members of the public.
• Balance heavy amounts of mail delivered at one time. (Up to 75 lbs)
• Work outside in all weather conditions.
• Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Salary: $10.00 - $17.00 per hour Schedule:
• Monday to Saturday
