What are the responsibilities and job description for the Neurology Front Desk Coordinator position at Jeffrey L Horstmyer MD PA?
ABOUT THE PRACTICE: Thriving, busy specialty clinic providing high-quality neurology services. Highly patient-centered practice focusing on customer service.
We are looking for a professional individual with a pleasant, courteous manner who is comfortable multi-tasking to handle phones, front desk, patient scheduling, insurance verification and clinical documentation.
- Greeting patients and their family/ companions and checking them in for their appointment, collection of copays, deductibles & outstanding balances/ check out upon completion of the visit.
- Registering new patients and ensuring that patient medical records, insurance verification, referrals, and authorizations are obtained before the appointment.
- Verification of patient demographics and insurance coverage for all patients, obtaining referrals & authorizations prior to neurology visits and medical records from PCP or referring doctor.
- Calling/ texting/ emailing patients to confirm upcoming appointments, cancel and/ or reschedule appointments.
- Provide clinical documentation to patients & educate them about testing procedures ordered by the Neurologist.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Front desk/check-in & check-out experience in doctor’s office or clinic.
- Spanish required.
- Healthcare experience required.
- Position is full time Monday through Friday starting at 8:45am through 5:00pm
