Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional patient care and will be proficient in various dental procedures and technologies. This role involves assisting dentists during examinations and treatments, managing patient records, and ensuring a smooth workflow in the clinic.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during procedures, including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
- Take and develop dental X-rays, utilizing knowledge of medical imaging and radiography standards.
- Conduct preliminary assessments by measuring vital signs and gathering medical histories.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
- Collaborate with the dental receptionists to schedule appointments and manage patient flow effectively.
- Stay current with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and advancements in dental technology including 3D scanners.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a dental clinic setting is preferred.
- SoftDent knowledge is desired, but not required
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
- Proficiency in taking X-rays and understanding of medical imaging techniques.
- Strong understanding of general dentistry procedures, including prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while providing excellent patient care.
- Strong communication skills to interact with patients and staff professionally.

Working hours are Monday - Thursday 8am - 4pm
