Responsibilities

- Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, or other modalities suited to client needs.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies promptly and effectively during urgent situations to ensure client safety and stability.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including medical professionals, social workers, educators, and caregivers to coordinate comprehensive care plans.
- Maintain accurate and detailed clinical documentation adhering to HIPAA regulations and clinical documentation standards.
- Utilize telehealth platforms for remote therapy sessions, ensuring accessibility and continuity of care for clients with diverse needs.
- Engage in ongoing research and case management activities to enhance treatment outcomes and stay current with best practices in mental health counseling.
Skills
- Extensive experience in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, addiction counseling, grief counseling, or behavioral therapy.
- Proficiency in motivational interviewing techniques to foster client engagement and facilitate change.
- Strong background in child & family counseling, especially working with children with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
- Knowledge of crisis management protocols including PTSD care, trauma-informed care, and behavior management strategies.
- Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for diagnostic evaluation and medical record documentation.
- Experience working with individuals with co-occurring disorders or disabilities across inpatient or outpatient settings.
- Ability to conduct assessments related to mental health conditions such as Geriatrics issues or gender identity concerns while adhering to clinical ethical guidelines.
- Skills in telehealth therapy delivery combined with clinical research expertise to support evidence-based practice initiatives.
