What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scheduler position at Jefferson Southern Job Board?
General:
To provide stamping schedules and coil/blank orders. Identify potential areas for continuous improvement. Timely schedule for stamping, capacity forecasting and coil ordering. Responsible for keeping coil inventories to a minimum.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Review previous shift production to ensure that all scheduled jobs were ran and report all information to the MS/PC Manager
- Monitor each press to ensure that they are meeting their production plan and that all inventory levels below one day are being inventoried on shift. Make necessary adjustments as needed
- Review coil inventory to ensure that all coils needed are received and if not report all shortages to production in order to make necessary changes. Monitor blanks to ensure that each press has the necessary blanks to perform each die change
- Update schedule at the end of the shift to prepare correct line up
- Report any problems that may arise to MS/PC Manager
- Monitor all parts that are to be shipped to JSC and JEC so that there are no late shipments to the customer
- Oversee weekly cycle counts and investigate discrepancies
- Review and confirm that all stamping jobs are correctly displayed on press boards
- Assist stamping with conducting quarterly inventory
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Prior knowledge of material handling in a manufacturing environment preferred.
