What You Should Know About the Transport Aide/ Driver:
- This job will require you to work some weekends. Typical hours are eight hours a day with the shift ending by 5:30 pm.
- This position is based within Jefferson Regional Central Transportation Department
Job Summary:
The Transport Aid is responsible for transporting patients in wheelchairs or stretchers as requested from various areas of the hospital and safely get them to their ordered location.
Transport Aid/ Driver Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- CPR/BLS required upon hire or obtained within the 30 days of hire.
- Current and Valid AR Driver's License
- Must be at least 21 years of age due to insurance requirements for operating company vehicles
- This is a safety sensitive position. *
- Minimum Requirements:
- Physical stamina and ability to lift/move patients and equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to hospital policies
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting with patients in a compassionate and respectful manner
- Must have a clean driving record
- Preferred requirements:
- Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting a plus.
