Duties
- Patrol designated areas regularly to deter crime and ensure public safety
- Respond promptly to emergency calls, accidents, and incidents, providing first aid or CPR as needed
- Conduct criminal investigations by gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and preparing detailed reports
- Enforce laws related to traffic and other regulations with professionalism and fairness
- Utilize surveillance techniques and security protocols to monitor suspicious activity or potential threats
- Manage conflict situations effectively through conflict management skills while maintaining calmness and authority
- Write comprehensive reports documenting incidents, arrests, and investigations for legal proceedings
- Engage in community policing initiatives to foster positive relationships with residents and local organizations
Requirements
- Proven experience or background in law enforcement, military service, or related security roles is highly desirable, already GA P.O.S.T. certified preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for patrol duties
- Strong skills in report writing, criminal investigation techniques, and surveillance operations
- Knowledge of law enforcement procedures, conflict management strategies, and security protocols
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with the public effectively
- Physical fitness to perform patrols, respond swiftly to emergencies, and manage potentially hazardous situations
- Leadership qualities with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must be 21 years of age
- Possess a valid Georgia driver's license
- Possess a high school diploma or GED (college degree preferred)
- Georgia Peace Officer’s Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) certified police officer or police certification from another state
- No felony convictions
- Pass an extensive background history check
- Pass a polygraph or voice stress analysis test
- Pass a drug screen
- Pass a medical and psychological exam
