JeffCare is a Federally Qualified Health Center offering primary care and behavioral health from two sites in Metairie and Marrero. JeffCare is a program of Jefferson Parish Human Services Authority. This position is located in the greater New Orleans metropolitan area in Marrero, LA.

Responsibilities
- Maintain appointment list for individuals in need of appointment and backfilling appointments as necessary
- Serves as backup to Front Desk Support and Screening/Intake staff
- Serves as backup Front Desk Supervisor to include end of day closing, no show reports, pending encounter report, and productivity reports
- Uses basic problem-solving skills to assist individuals in resolving issues to avoid continuous routing of calls
- Responsible for auditing front desk administrative duties
- Responsible for working the missed appointment report
- Responsible for collecting and distributing timesheets
- Assists in coordinating leave to ensure coverage of duties with Front Desk Support staff;
- Assists Front Desk Support Supervisor with day-to-day operation of front desk
- Coaches Front Desk Support staff and administrative support staff on best practices for responding to individuals served and family questions, concerns, and issues
- Assists with training new employees and work with the Front Desk Support Supervisor to ensure compliance for all new front desk staff
- In conjunction with the Front Desk Support Supervisor, develop measurable performance expectations that are appropriate to the duties assigned and work with the supervisee to meet the expectations
Qualifications and Skills
- At least a high school diploma or GED
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Two or more years of experience in documenting information in an electronic health record and verifying insurance benefits
- Two or more years of experience scheduling appointments, collecting, and recording demographic information
- Two or more years of experience working in primary care or behavioral health or Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) is a plus
