Patient Care Tech - Emergency Room (Full-Time, Days) Jefferson Torresdale

• Work under the supervision of the professional nurse, carry out routine patient care assignments, and work in controlled care situations and performs established nursing procedures for individual or groups of patients.
• Demonstrates accountability for assigned patients on shift or assignment.
• Perform vital signs measurement: Temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, pulse oximetry readings
• Record on patient chart.
• Monitor intake and output.
• Interact with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital.
• Patient population ranges from young adulthood through late adulthood.

Education & Training: High School Graduate or equivalent.

Experience: C.N.A or previous similar healthcare experience required.

License, Certification & Registration: CPR certified as a Health Care Provider through the American Heart Association.

Other Requirements: Good organizational and interpersonal skills.

Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI finger print based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.
