This role is responsible for ensuring that buildings and facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in general maintenance trades and a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and general repairs
- Maintain buildings and grounds, including basic landscaping and exterior upkeep
- Install, repair, and service appliances and basic building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical)
- Respond to work orders and maintenance requests promptly, prioritizing based on urgency
- Troubleshoot issues and perform preventative maintenance
- Assist with unit turnovers, inspections, and general property upkeep
- Collaborate with team members on larger or more complex repair projects
- Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with residents and staff
Schedule & Compensation:
- Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Participation in an on-call rotation required
- Starting pay at $20.46/hour, with pay commensurate based on experience

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction trades or general maintenance, or completion of a vocational trade program
- Valid driver's license and ability to be insured by JMHA's insurance carrier
- Ability to perform a wide range of maintenance tasks safely and independently
- Ability to interact professionally with residents, staff, and the public
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting 35 pounds regularly
- Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and perform tasks in varying weather conditions
- Frequent travel between JMHA properties
