Responsibilities
- Greet residents and visitors warmly, providing clear guidance on admission procedures and required documentation
- Collect, verify, and accurately input resident information into electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Coordinate with clinical staff to schedule and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed prior to admission to the facility
- Manage health insurance details, including working hand in hand with our Business Office in verifying coverage, processing claims, and assisting with billing inquiries
- Maintain compliance with health regulation policies by ensuring proper documentation and confidentiality standards are upheld
- Assist in managing electronic health records (EHR) and electronic medical records (EMR), ensuring data accuracy and security
Skills
- Registered Nursing License
- Experience working in a long term care facility or healthcare administrative support role
- Knowledge of health regulation policies and compliance standards within healthcare settings
- Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance processes, and billing procedures
- Strong proficiency in office software applications and electronic health records (EHR/EHR management systems)
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents, family members, providers, and insurance companies
- Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
