Make Ready/Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and have experience in various maintenance tasks, ensuring that all equipment and facilities are functioning optimally. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, machinery, and facilities.
• Turn units and make ready for new move-ins.
• Fabricate parts and components as needed for repairs using various tools and techniques.
• Conduct residential painting tasks as required to maintain facility aesthetics.
• Use an Ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools to assess electrical systems and resolve issues.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on HVAC systems.
• Perform basic electrical repairs in units.
• Perform basic plumbing repairs in units.
• Carpentry work experience work is a plus.

Requirements

• Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in maintenance or repair work.
• Familiarity with supervising teams or individuals in a maintenance environment is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients.
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools, including Ohmmeters, for troubleshooting electrical issues.
• HVAC certified preferred.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
