Job Description
Job Duties
- Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.(Do not delete, move or over-write this statement)
- Collect and review patient insurance information to include but not limited to: obtaining prior authorizations (inpatient and outpatient) and referral information and ensure all necessary approvals are in place prior to the scheduled surgical procedure.
- Completes pre-procedure phone calls and confirms appointment times with patients via telephone.
- Provides patient with all necessary pre-operative instructions.
- Adheres to HIPAA privacy and security requirements. Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulatory standards.
- Other duties as requested or assigned.
- High School Diploma/GED
- Excellent communication skills.
- Willingness to provide and support a positive Jefferson Experience for all patients and/or visitors. Ability to process and interpret data. Ability to multi task while managing a time sensitive workload.
