This position offers the opportunity to join a high-volume, quality-driven practice that provides the full spectrum of adult cardiothoracic surgery, including:
The Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery provides services at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and Abington Hospital, with an active transplant and mechanical support program. Outpatient practice is centered at the Jefferson Heart Institute, home to comprehensive cardiology services including risk reduction, advanced heart failure, transplant, and structural heart programs.

- Advanced valve repair and replacement (including Ross procedure)
- Robotic and minimally invasive cardiac surgery
- Complex coronary revascularization (on-pump and off-pump)
- Aortic surgery and transcatheter valve repair/replacement (TAVR)
- Heart transplantation and mechanical circulatory support (LVAD, destination therapy)

Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive surgical care for patients with valvular, coronary, and aortic disease.
- Perform advanced and minimally invasive procedures.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of cardiology, critical care, and heart failure specialists.
- Teach and mentor residents, fellows, and medical students.
- Contribute to research, quality initiatives, and academic activities.
- Completion of an accredited cardiothoracic surgery residency.
- Board certified or board eligible in thoracic/cardiac surgery.
- Fellowship training in advanced cardiac surgery procedures preferred.
- Eligible for Pennsylvania medical licensure.
- Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence, teaching, and collaboration.
