Job Description
- Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson
- Installs and repairs pipes and fixtures (such as sinks, toilets, safety showers and eyewashes) for water, gas, steam, air, or other liquids; installs supports for pipes, equipment, and fixtures prior to installation.
- Perform inspections on interceptors, separators, and acid neutralizers.
- Replaces faucets and plumbing fixtures; installs new piping ½ inch to 8 inches; performs snake drainage.
- Tests backflow devices; installs hot water tanks.
- Inspects, maintains and repairs Fire Protection Systems (i.e. sprinklers, standpipes, pumps, and dry chemical piping systems).
- Reads and works from blueprints and sketches to complete workload efficiently and accurately.
- Performs other maintenance duties as needed and as assigned by the supervisor or lead.
