This key leadership role involves overseeing clinical operations, optimizing workflow efficiency, mentoring faculty and trainees, and driving innovation in emergency imaging. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical expertise, leadership experience, and a commitment to excellence in patient care, research, and education.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the Emergency Radiology division, ensuring excellence in patient care and operational efficiency.
- Interpret high-acuity emergency imaging studies in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Collaborate closely with emergency medicine, trauma, and subspecialty teams to deliver rapid and accurate imaging diagnoses.
- Develop and implement protocols to enhance workflow, improve turnaround times, and advance imaging best practices.
- Mentor and supervise radiology faculty, residents, and fellows in emergency radiology.
- Oversee faculty scheduling, ensuring equitable shift distribution, including nights and weekends.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and support research efforts in emergency imaging.
- MD or DO from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Diagnostic Radiology; fellowship training in Emergency, Trauma, or Body Imaging preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in emergency radiology, with demonstrated leadership or administrative experience.
- Proven ability to manage a high-volume, high-acuity clinical environment.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and team-building skills.
- Experience in academic medicine, faculty development, and research initiatives.
- Eligible for medical licensure in Pennsylvania.
