Job Description
- Maintain and manage a portfolio and communicate with patients/alumni/friends of Jefferson (phone calls, in-person meetings, emails) in a manner that fosters a relationship that leads to a philanthropic commitment
- Through internal meetings and activities, develop a comprehensive understanding of the educational, research, clinical, and capital needs and priorities of the Department(s) to articulate compelling cases for philanthropic support.
- Work with OIA centralized services teams – Communications, Events, Research, Annual Fund, Planned Giving, etc – to advance donor relations. Maintain proactive communications with colleagues to ensure effective collaborations and synergy in achieving key fundraising goals and objectives.
- The DoD will be responsible for the creation of a major gifts plan to support assigned divisions/programs.
- Develops and designs strategies, in partnership with MGO team and other OIA centralized services, that effectively engage campus partners and current and prospective benefactors.
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- 5 years Major gift experience Required
- Knowledge of individual gifts fundraising including identification, qualification, cultivation, and solicitation individual gifts.
- Superior interpersonal skills and a capacity to engage, inspire, and persuade both internal and external constituents.
- Knowledge of database software systems/CRM and Microsoft Office
- 5 years Healthcare, higher education or academic medical center experience Preferred
- Knowledge of healthcare and higher education landscape Preferred
- This role is responsible for meeting defined metrics and goals annually including number of proposals presented (24 at $25K ) and funded (10 at $25K ), meaningful donor encounters (125), and dollars raised ($1-2M).
