Job Description
Essential Functions
- Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
- Provides comprehensive assessment, interventions, individual therapy, group therapy and other psychosocial treatment modalities.
- Provides effective treatment planning and assists clients in successfully achieving goals.
- Participates in outreach, wellness, and psychoeducational programming to the campus community.
- Provides urgent trauma therapy and de-escalation to the campus community.
- Maintains a high standard of professionalism and confidentiality within the Department.
- Maintains working knowledge of best practices in the field of college mental health
- Works collaboratively with counseling center staff and campus partners, documents accurately within the medical record of clients, as well as, other forms to meet city, state and federal regulatory requirements
- Attends assigned meetings at all levels of the organization.
- Supports the University by providing consultative services to the faculty, staff, students, clients and their family members as needed.
- Facilitates outreach events as needed.
- Other duties at assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- Masters Degree in Social Services related field required.
Experience
- Prior clinical experience in outpatient clinical behavioral health or college counseling preferred.
- Must be a licensed clinician in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Microsoft office knowledge.
- Previous experience working with college athletes preferred.
