Job Description
- Research, write, edit, and format high-quality grant proposals, letters of inquiry (LOIs), and funding applications tailored to philanthropic funders.
- Analyze funder interests, giving history, and application requirements.
- Manage multiple proposal timelines simultaneously, ensuring on-time submission.
- Maintain proposal calendars, tracking systems, and funder documentation.
- Assist with post-award reporting by providing narrative updates and impact summaries as needed.
- Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit management, public administration or related field.
- 3 years experience writing grant proposals or philanthropic funding requests in a nonprofit, foundation, or mission-driven organization.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities with attention to detail.
- Understanding of not-for-profit funding environment.
- Experience using design software for print and digital media like InDesign.
- Knowledge of not-for-profits/ grantmaking environments.
- Working with CRM or grant management systems (e.g., Salesforce).
