We are currently seeking an individual with attention to detail for Hemp Production Kitchen Assistant to assist in completing edible production projects and meet daily deadlines, wholesale orders, and all edible production needs. This person will work closely with our current team member to get trained on current line of products. After fully training, an opportunity for a Lead position in this department will be available.
This candidate must have strong background in professional kitchen or culinary arts, and hemp industry. Experience having made edibles, candy making or other baking experience is required. Must be able to work independently, and as a team. Must have excellent math and recipe calculations skills and work with with current staff to learn how to make current products and be able to handle the capacity of daily operations. Must be able to work in a consistently evolving company, with ease of changes and improvements to systems and processes to create more efficiencies in operations. Communication is a requirement. Duties of hemp production kitchen assistant include, but not limited to:
- All stages of edible candy production: in house products, wholesale, white labeling, etc. projects.
- Repetitive packaging and processes of all hemp edible production
- Prepping products to meet quality control standards
- Performing essential duties such as cleaning stations & kitchen equipment, and kitchen areas, regularly.
- Ordering supplies, equipment, etc.
- Working with Manager to develop new products, manage projects, meet deadlines, and maintain stock levels of inventory and edible production.
- Efficiency in Microsoft Office, Asana, Slack, and other in house programs used in daily operations
- Work with Hemp Production Team to complete projects and meet deadlines
- Assess Wholesale Orders, and evaluate ability to meet deadlines
- Manage time efficiently and effectively to meet project deadlines
Qualifications
Oregon food handlers is mandatory and must be obtained once hired. Prior Professional Kitchen Experience, Hemp Industry, and/or product production experience is required. Must also have general administrative office skills, and knowledge or experience with programs: Microsoft Office (including Excel), Asana (project management), and Slack (internal communication).
