What are the responsibilities and job description for the Speech Therapist / Pathlogist position at Jefferson Davis Parish Schools?
- Minimum Requirements: Valid license as a Speech-Language Pathologist or eligible as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
- Current LBESPA Licensure.
- Preferred Qualifications: Master's-degree SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) is highly preferred.
- Preferred Experience: Demonstrates knowledge of Speech, Language, Pragmatic, and Oral Motor disorders and Therapeutic approaches as well as experience with AAC.
- Providing comprehensive group and individual speech/language therapy sessions.
- Developing and implementing student IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) and targeted communication goals.
- Providing continuous consultation and strategic collaboration with classroom teachers and educational staff.
