- Provide personalized counseling using motivational interviewing techniques to encourage positive decision-making and behavioral change.
- Coordinate with community partners and service providers to connect veterans with addiction counseling, mental health support, employment training, and other social services.
- Advocate on behalf of veterans during appeals or disputes regarding benefits or services.
- Manage crisis situations effectively by implementing crisis management protocols and providing immediate support or referrals when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions, assessments, and service plans in compliance with confidentiality standards.
- Stay informed about current policies related to Section 8 housing, workforce development initiatives, behavioral health programs, and veteran-specific legislation.
